Questions, answered
How many kits do I need?
One kit per lamp. For a group, add one kit for each guest who'd like to make and keep a lamp.
Can guests switch their lamps on the same night?
Not quite. The glue needs to dry completely (usually about 12 hours) before the lamp is assembled, so guests take their globe and frame home and finish it the next day.
Is it difficult to make a mosaic lamp at home?
Not at all, and it's beginner friendly. The kit includes all the materials and tools you need, and no prior experience is required. Start your mosaic from the center and work outward, keep the glue layer thin, and take your time.
How long does it take?
Most first-timers spend 4–5 hours placing the mosaic, often over two evenings. Then the glue dries overnight (about 12 hours) before you finish the lamp and switch it on. There’s no rush: work at your own pace.
Is it messy?
Only a little. Cover the table with newspaper or a sheet first. Grout is the one messy step, and the sponge in the kit wipes it off the glass.

Which frame should I choose?
Every kit globe fits all six iron frames, so pick the shape and size you like best: Table Lamp (5.5" × 11"), Mini Table Lamp (5.5" × 8.5"), Swan Lamp (8.7" × 15"), Camping Lamp (5.5" × 10", portable and rechargeable), Aladdin Lamp (10" × 18") or Mini Moon Lamp (9.5" × 15"). How long does shipping take?
We dispatch your kit within three business days. Free Economy shipping then takes 5–8 business days, or choose Standard (3–5 business days) at checkout. Every lamp kit ships free in the U.S. For Christmas delivery, order by December 9 (or December 14 with Standard shipping).
What if something is missing or damaged?
Our complete-kit promise: every piece arrives, or we replace it free. If anything is missing, broken or wrong, email hello@mosaicartstudio.us within 7 days of receiving your order with your order number and a photo, and we’ll send a replacement (or a full refund) once we’ve checked it.
